At the helm of netTrav, Inc. are CEO Deborah Smith and President Lloyd Wilson, who
originally launched Platinum Travel Club in 2005. Smith had a highly successful
career in sales, marketing and advertising before exercising her passion for entrepreneurial
ventures. She raised millions of dollars in private capital to support environmentally
sustainable technologies and sat on the board of Dennis Weaver’s prestigious Institute
of Ecolonomics, before turning her attention to the travel world and joining forces
with Lloyd Wilson. Wilson, a superstar athlete in his youth sought after by two
major league teams before choosing a college education, brought that same commitment
to business. He rose through the ranks of finance and business, eventually creating
a telecommunications company which he sold in 1997 to enter network marketing, where
he became a top distributor for a succession of organizations, before teaming up
with Smith.
After launching Platinum Travel Club, the partners discovered that many of their
customers wanted more service, better pricing and the convenience of selecting their
travel options via the internet. Seeking input from customers and travel resources
alike, they began to lay the groundwork for netTrav.com.
